“Go, send, or disobey.”-John Piper
There are two different kinds of missionaries in the world. Many have the idea that to be a missionary, one must go to a remote jungle, learn the language, adjust to a totally different culture, and do a host of other intimating things. In reality, there is another kind of missionary that we often don’t think of, yet is just as important. These are the senders.
Most of you reading this will never go to the mission field to work among the unreached. Yet the Great Commission given by Jesus applies to every Christian everywhere. Each of us is called to carry the gospel to the whole world. Mission work is not just for the super-saints, but for you and me. So if you are Christian, do something to reach this world for Christ. Millions are dying without ever have heard of Christ and we must reach them. But how?
The answer is by serving as senders for the people who are willing to go. Our goal is to provide the tools for the native churches all across Asia , in countries such as Nepal , India , China , and Bhutan . Though we may not be able to go physically, we can still do our part by supporting the person already on the field.
The native church in these countries that we are helping is still young and growing. They need the tools to reach their own people, but are unable to do it alone. In response to this need, we are raising funds and awareness of this.
Did you know that for every one soldier in the army there must be nine people to back him up? Without their support, he couldn’t be fighting on the front lines. In the same way, every soldier of Christ in this spiritual battle must have people behind him to support him in the fight for lost souls. So if you’re not called to go to the mission field, be a sender of the person who is going.
This is what Gospel Outreach for Asia is all about. If we can’t go, we will at least provide the tools for missionaries on the field. We are working to raise money to put gospel tracts into the hands of the unsaved, and give Bibles to Chinese believers who never before had a copy. In this way, we are reaching the unreached.
If you’re not going, then send. Jesus commands us to reach this world and at any cost we must see this done. Please, pray for the lost souls in Asia . If the Lord has laid it on your heart, consider giving a donation to further the harvest. One hundred percent of the money you give goes straight to the mission field. It is our passion to see the lost brought to Christ while there is still time.
