Welcome to Gospel Outreach for Asia (GOA) blog page! Here we will keep you regularly posted on various happenings in Asia and China (the topic of this post). If you would like to learn about this project, please click the "About Us" link on the right-hand side. Also on that page, you will find how much funds have been raised and the progress we are making toward our goal of thirty thousand dollars. We want to provide up-to-date information on what God is doing in the ten-forty window, particularly in East Asia and China. If you know of any information that would be helpful and informative to our readers, please don't hesitate to email us.
The need in these countries is incredible, with over two billion people living there that have never even once heard the gospel of salvation. At any cost, we must see these people reached before it is too late. Consider helping us do that by sending a donation.

From a Chinese House Church Leader to You
The following is a letter from a Chinese house church leader about the need for Bibles in his country. Although the government allows a small number of Bibles to be printed, this amount is not nearly enough for the thousands of people being saved every day (there are approximately 25,000 new converts to Christianity every 24 hours). This letter was taken from the Asia Harvest newsletter, #103, page 5. Please read this carefully.
One of the biggest obstacles we face is a deficit of Bibles. In order to meet the new needs that have come up in the last few months in northern Sichuan- we need an additional 96,000 Bibles immediately. As our evangelists continue to minister we expect this number to increase rapidly. We also need 362,000 Bibles to meet the current need of our evangelists covering the rest of the province and surrounding regions. We also realize that there are other church networks working in this area and although we do not know the specifics of their needs for Bibles, we know it is great and we wish for their needs to be provided for as well.
Let us express our gratitude to Asia Harvest[a ministry dedicated to providing the Scriptures for the Chinese, and one that we have been working with; see the link on the right to learn more] and your supporters for your generosity in providing these Bibles for the people of China. We cannot find the words to express our thankfulness for the unselfish giving of those that have provided the Word of Life to us. We are especially surprised and grateful that in spite of these difficult financial times Christians in the West are still willing to sacrifice their hard-earned money to help us.
We are concerned about the direction of the West as many people seem to be rejecting the Way of the Cross and embracing secularism. We promise you that we will not forget your generous help during our difficult times- and if we are in a position to help you in future years we will do it in any we can. For now- we do not have the finances to help you; especially those of you that have made financial sacrifices so that we can have Bibles.
Our friends at Asia Harvest have told us stories of children who have given their saving so we can have Bibles instead of spending it on things they want, as well as many adults who work very hard and can barely make the payments on their houses; but still give so that the people of China can have Bibles. Our hearts are truly touched and we thank God for each of you and the selfless love you have shown us! God bless you for all you have done for the people of China!
-From a brother in the Lord
Dear Wellspring Youth... What a delightful way to start your mission work! May The LORD bless your efforts and your zeal and may HE+ bring such increase that "men may see your good works and glorify your FATHER+ which is in Heaven." Amen.

Reagan, I think the new, colorful look of this page is good!
ReplyDeleteHanan, the Galilee of China; partII, came in the mail yesterday. A surprise! Paul does that sometimes. Have you read part two?
May the LORD+ bless our Christian family (our real family)all over the world today as the live and stand firm for HIM+, and seek to return to HIM+ some of the GREAT LOVE HE+ has shown for us.
Blessings to all there with you. Your Brother+
Hey Reagan,
ReplyDeleteHope all is going well with the work and at your house as well.
Missed seeing you all this last Lord's Day and hope to see you soon again, Lord willing.
Were able by GOD'S Grace to send to our brothers in Asia who work in very difficult situations. One has his family right there with him, and they count themselves blessed to be there for HIM+.
I just wanted to touch base with you. By the way, I picked the user name "Brendon" for this account for the Celtic monk, Brendon the Navigator", who along with his brother monks preached the gospel far from their native land of England, sailing in their very small and light weight ship, even to places like Greenland. Some say they touched the shores of North America, but it is so ancient no proof of that of course.(6th century). Paintings representing the TRINITY have been found in Indian caves along the Eastern coast however!
Well I will get quiet for now!! :)
Your brother+ (you know who)
Reagan,
ReplyDeleteNoticed the new total! I think it's going nicely. A good opportunity for everyone to be able to preach the Gospel to those they don't know and have not seen. One link hooked to another link equals a strong chain pulling in the same direction, N'est-ce pas??
Personally, I am almost 100% by our LORD'S Goodness and STRONG POWER!! : ) YES!
Christian love (agape) to all there with you. Me (aka Earl+)
Hey Reagan,
ReplyDeleteJust checking in. Hope all is going well. A good solid week for me, by GOD'S Grace and Mercy to me.
Wonder if I will see any of you all this week, as I know there was some travel involved with your family? Hope everyone is safe on the highways. Looka like some snow in Virginia and PA.!
Be of good cheer. The battle is the LORD'S!
